BBC host says he would ‘never knowingly share anything antisemitic’ and deleted post on learning it was offensive

Gary Lineker has “apologised unreservedly” over an Instagram story about Zionism that featured a picture of a rat, saying: “I take full responsibility for this mistake. That image does not reflect my views.”

The TV presenter came under criticism after he shared and then deleted a post on his Instagram account from the group Palestine Lobby, illustrated with a picture of a rat and titled: “Zionism explained in two minutes.”
