Janja Garnbret Wins 47th World Cup Gold

Janja Garnbret of Slovenia made a triumphant return at the IFSC Climbing World Cup Innsbruck 2025, winning gold in the women’s Boulder final by topping all four boulders with a score of 99.3. This is her 47th World Cup gold medal.

The two-time Olympic champion, competing in her first World Cup since Koper 2024, flashed W3 and W4, earning cheers from the crowd and fellow finalists. “It feels amazing,” Garnbret said, reflecting on overcoming doubts after a nine-month break.

“I really enjoyed myself on the wall, had a bit of a shaky start in qualification, then it felt 100 per cent better in semi-final, and now I felt like my old self in the final,” Garnbret said.

Oriane Bertone of France took silver with 69.8 points, her third silver of 2025, while Japan’s Matsufuji Anon earned bronze, her second career medal. Italy’s Camilla Moroni placed fourth with 53.8 points, followed by Japan’s Nakamura Mao (53.6) and USA’s Annie Sanders (44.6).
