OnlyFans fined £1.05m over inaccurate information on age checks

Ofcom acts after finding flaws in how subscription platform responded to request for details of ‘challenge age’ process

Ofcom has fined the subscription platform OnlyFans £1.05m for failing to provide accurate information about its age checks.

In June 2022 and 2023, Ofcom asked OnlyFans’ parent company, Fenix International, for information on its age checking procedures, including how effective its facial estimation technology was.
