Dolly Parton, Country Music Icon Who Dedicated 2022 Awards Show to Ukraine, Dies at 80
Country music icon and philanthropist Dolly Parton has died aged 80 in Nashville, Tennessee. The singer, known for her hits including “Jolene,” “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You,” is also remembered for dedicating the 2022 ACM Awards to Ukraine after Russia’s invasion, for her decades of charitable work through the Dollywood Foundation, and as an ambassador for the Sunflower Guitar for Ukraine project.
