BURSTOn a recent trip to Passo Fedaia in Italy, Laura Rogora, in her usual fashion, casually racked up enough hard sends for a lifetime. She redpointed Affinità Elettive 5.15a, sent Absinthium 5.14d (9a) on her second go, onsighted Tinnitus 5.14b, flashed Wrangler 5.13d/5.14a, and climbed Attraverso lo Speccio 5.14b on her second go.
“Escaped the heat of the valley and spent an amazing weekend climbing at Passo Fedaia,” said Rogora on Instagram. “A huge thanks to [Andrea Milani] for showing me around this incredible crag and for the great company throughout the weekend.”
Rogora has now climbed over a dozen routes 5.15a or harder, including her latest ascent of Affinità Elettive. Affinità Elettive is a mega line that ascends 50 meters. The route was established by Milani and is a tribute to Mario and Luca Prinoth.
Her hardest onsight to date is 5.14c, and she has onsighted two: La Ligne Claire at Saint Léger and The Ultimate Sacrifice in Gorges du Loup. Rogora’s onsight of La Ligne Claire (her second 5.14c onsight) made her the third climber ever to have two or more onsights of 5.14c or higher. The other two climbers able to make this claim are Adam Ondra and Alex Megos. She’s climbed over 30 5.14d routes. She sent at least four of them on only her second go, including L’Ultimo Ruggito, Estado Crítico, La Prophétie des Grenouilles, and The Bomb.
In April this year, Rogora climbed Mascella Serrata 5.14d in three goes. In February, she got on Adam Ondra’s Niobe 5.14d – the slab route was a little out of her wheelhouse, as she said the hardest slab she had ever climbed before Niobe was 5.11d. She made quick work of Niobe, topping it in only four attempts and getting the FFA.
Rogora has also been on the World Cup circuit this year, as usual. In May this year, she placed 8th in the World Cup Lead event in Wujiang, China. In 2024, she won gold at the European Championships for Lead and for Lead and Boulder combined. In 2025, she won third place overall in the World Cup series for Lead.
