Parts of the Fort Stewart military base in south-east Georgia were locked down on Wednesday after an active shooter was reported on the sprawling army post, a spokesperson said.
The Facebook page for Fort Stewart Hunter army airfield shared on Wednesday afternoon that the lockdown was in the Second Armored Brigade Combat Team area and that casualties have been reported. No names or details about any victims had yet been released.
