North Vancouver firefighters battle blaze at seniors housing complex in Lynn Valley

Firefighters are battling a fire that broke out Saturday at a seniors apartment in the District of North Vancouver.

The fire is happening at Silverlynn Apartments, located at 1335 E. 27th Street. It’s an affordable housing complex for seniors, managed by Lowland Senior citizen Housing Society.

Plumes of black smoke can be seen billowing over Lynn Valley.

District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services are working to put out the fire.

No word yet on whether anyone was injured or trapped in the fire.
