
A man was shot in Surrey overnight before losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a power pole. The shooting victim was pronounced dead on the spot following life-saving attempts by first responders.
Surrey police say the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over and will be providing any further updates on Sunday.
Shortly before 12:30 a.m. on May 31, Surrey Police Service officers got a call about a shooting in the area of 138th Street and 62nd Avenue. The man was found with gunshot wounds in the vehicle that had struck a power pole.
No arrests have been made and no suspect information is available, said SPS Sgt. Ali Gailus in a statement.
