New Westminster police seek dashboard camera footage in road rage incident
Police are looking for witnesses or dashboard camera footage in a road rage investigation.
On Wednesday around 4:15 p.m., police said a driver reported they had been confronted by another driver in the area of 6th Avenue and Eighth Street.
The woman said another driver exited their red Dodge Ram and waved an “edged weapon” at them in the middle of traffic.
“Brandishing weapons in traffic is not acceptable,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver in a statement.
“We’re now asking the public to help us in our investigation by passing along any relevant dashcam footage.”
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, with a slim build, a moustache, and balding hair.
Anyone with footage or who may have witnessed the incident on Sept. 2 between 4:10 to 4:20 p.m. are asked to call police at 604-525-5411 and to cite file #26-15256.
Still no answers as second anniversary of suspicious death nears
Tania Langley, 53, was reported missing on Sept. 5, 2024. Less than two weeks later on Sept. 17, her body was found along the Fraser River in Mission.
Now, as the second anniversary of her death approaches, police are renewing their call for information and tips in the continuing investigation into Langley’s disappearance and death.
Over the past two years, Chilliwack RCMP have continued to investigate and believe the circumstances around Langley’s disappearance and death remain suspicious.
“Tania was deeply loved and is profoundly missed by her family. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew her,” read a statement shared by her family this week.
“Tania always put others before herself and had a remarkable ability to make people feel cared for and supported.”
The family said Langley’s death “has left an immeasurable void.”
“As we mark two years since her disappearance, we are asking anyone with information about what happened to her to come forward. No matter how small it may seem, that information could help provide answers and bring a measure of closure to those who loved her.”
Langley is described as a white woman who measures 5’1″, 90 pounds, with short brown-grey hair and green eyes. She has tattoos on her arm feature vines, flowers and her children’s names.
She was driving a red Ford Ranger at the time she disappeared, and has ties to Chilliwack, Abbotsford and Mission.
Anyone who saw Langley leading up to her disappearance or who may have seen her vehicle during that period is asked to contact Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 and cite file # 2024-38983.
Ottawa murder suspect could be camping in B.C. backcountry
Ontario police are issuing a public notice about a murder suspect who may be camping in B.C.’s backcountry.
On April 12, police were called to Last Duel Park in Perth, Ont. where a man was found with serious injuries.
The 34-year-old Ottawa resident, identified as Christo Allison Richards, was taken to hospital but later died.
Joseph Madore, 34, and Brayton Kennedy, 28, have been charged with one count each of first-degree murder and arrest warrants have been issued. Kennedy is believed to be in New Brunswick, while Madore is believed to be in B.C.
According to OPP, Madore may be travelling through or camping in remote backcountry areas.
Anyone who recognizes or spots Madore in B.C. is asked to call 911 immediately. Police advise members of the public not to approach either individual.

Police seek suspects who allegedly yelled at Vancouver Burger Crush staff, customers
Police are searching for two men captured on viral video who allegedly entered a fast-food restaurant and began yelling at staff and customers, destroyed property, and claimed they had weapons and were in a gang.
On Friday evening, police were called to the Burger Crush located in downtown Vancouver at Nelson and Howe streets where two men were allegedly causing a scene inside the establisment.
Video circulating on social media shows the men inside the restaurant where a table and a bench are seen flipped upside down. One man is pictured standing on a bench while yelling, “I got murder charges, I got guns” as the other stands at the counter throwing items at staff.
“We understand there is significant public interest in this incident,” said Insp. Erin Roulston with the Vancouver Police.
“It is disturbing and unacceptable, not just to police, but to the staff and patrons of the restaurant. Investigators are reviewing all available evidence, including CCTV footage, to determine what occurred and if criminal charges are appropriate.”
