UFC chief Dana White said the league is planning a cage fight, which will likely be broadcast on CBS, on the White House grounds.
“That is going to happen,” White told a columnist for the Wall Street Journal when asked about the prospect of a UFC fight at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
His comment came just hours after UFC announced a $7 billion deal with media conglomerate Paramount to stream the league's fights on its direct-to-consumer subscriber platform, Paramount+.
The deal is Paramount's first major business move since closing a multi-billion dollar merger with fellow entertainment giant Skydance last week.
The merger won approval from President Trump's Federal Communications Commission after the company promised to retool CBS News coverage toward a more "diverse" set of viewpoints and scale back its corporate diversity policies.
Trump has previously floated the idea of a UFC fight taking place at the White House, the Journal noted, saying last month "there's a lot of land there."
