Of the four fires that sparked west of Tulameen and east of the Coquihalla Highway, one blaze is now considered held.
The Mount Britton blaze grew to 0.4 hectares as BC Wildfire crews and local fire departments got on top of the fire and kept it within the existing perimeter.
However, the Holm Creek blaze has grown to an estimated 3.89 hectares.
The largest of the four fires, in the Lower Mount Rabbit area, along the Lawless Creek Forest Service Road, remains at 12.17 hectares and is the closest to Tulameen.
The Upper Murphy fire remains at .3 hectares.
The Regional District of the Okanagan Similkameen is aware of the blazes in Electoral Area “H”, however, it stated that no action is required at this time.

Four fires sparked west of Tulameen and east of the Coquihalla Highway remain out of control.
According to BC Wildfire Service (BCWS), the wildfires were first discovered on Aug. 22.
Three of the four fires are suspected to be lightning-caused, and each spans 0.3 to 0.4 hectares. They are listed at Holm Creek (K61758), Upper Murphy (K61759), and Mount Britton (K61761).
The one closest to Tulameen is listed as 12.17 hectares in size, and the cause of this blaze remains under investigation. BCWS located this blaze near Lower Mount Rabbit (K61756).
Tulameen Fire Chief Jody Woodford posted on Facebook, “The BCWS crews, helicopters and Tulameen crews are actioning and patrolling. Tulameen firefighters are notifying residents on Lawless Creek Road about the wildfire at 13 km. It is not an evacuation alert at this time.”
She asked residents to be on watch for any new lightning-caused starts.
