President Trump and Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry (R) will make remarks Monday afternoon at the White House.
It marks Landry's second visit to the White House in a week. The first-term governor attended an event Thursday at which Trump signed an executive order to dismantle the Education Department.
Trump and Landry are expected to join executives from Hyundai to announce plans to build a steel mill in the state to back up its auto plants, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. The plant, a $5 billion investment, would supply materials to the Korean automaker.
Earlier this month, Trump imposed 25 percent tariffs on steel and aluminum from Canada and Mexico. Canada supplies more steel to the U.S. than any other country, according to the International Trade Association.
