Stefano Ghisolfi has climbed his 12th 5.15b (9b) with a send of Ratstaman Vibrations in Céüse, a route first climbed by Alex Megos. Ghisolfi has been on a sending spree this year with several hard boulder repeats, including Gioia V16, Dreamtime V15, Story of Two Worlds V15, and Big Illusion V15.
After his send, Ghisolfi said, “Ratstaman Vibrations, my 12th 9b, went down quickly. I tried the route for a couple of days back in 2022 when it was still a project, and it took me six more sessions this trip to get it done. After refining the sections and linking both cruxes, I felt ready to give some real attempts, falling twice at the end of crux two on day seven and completing it on day eight, bleeding a bit too much.”
In August 2025, Yannick Flohé made the second ascent of Ratstaman Vibrations after 30 days of effort. The route was bolted in 2012 by Chris Sharma, and several elite climbers, including Seb Bouin and Charles Albert, attempted it. However, it remained unclimbed until July 2022, when Megos clipped the chains.
Following his repeat, Flohé suggested upgrading the route’s grade from 5.15b to 5.15b/c. Reflecting on the difficulty, he said: “Alex graded this route 5.15b, but sometimes he isn’t aware of his own strength, so I decided that a little slash upgrade seems fair. I hope more strong climbers try this route in the future.” Despite being the first climber in history to flash V15, Flohé described his ascent of Ratstaman Vibrations as his “proudest moment in rock climbing so far.”
