Live updates: House panel releases Epstein files, 'birthday book'; MAHA report on children's health expected

The House Oversight Committee on Monday night released records related to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including the infamous "birthday book" with pages from former President Clinton, attorney Alan Dershowitz and one that appears to be from President Trump.

Epstein's estate had turned over the files earlier Monday. House Democrats immediately released the page allegedly bearing Trump's signature. And the White House and its allies quickly sought to cast doubt on the validity of the letter by suggesting the signature did not belong to the president.

Trump on Tuesday has few events on his public schedule, with a proclamation announcement set for late afternoon. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt will brief reporters at 1 p.m.

The Department of Health and Human Services's Make America Healthy Again Commission will release its strategy aimed at the nation's children on Tuesday afternoon.

Virginia and Boston voters head to the polls on Tuesday. Voters in the district of the late Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) will choose his replacement. The Boston electorate will narrow the field in the mayoral race.
