NATO to Open Centralized Arms Purchases for Ukraine
Under a new partnership with the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), Ukraine will be allowed to place orders for weapons, ammunition and military supplies via the alliance’s centralized procurement channels. The decision comes as the alliance’s PURL program comes under threat during the latest row between Kyiv and Washington, though it’s unclear if the new channel can provide the air defense Kyiv urgently needs as winter approaches.
