One person dead at Cypress mountain resort: Police

A person has died at Cypress mountain resort said police.

West Vancouver Police said the death occurred at the North Shore ski resort Thursday evening.

The person who died has been identified and their family has been notified.

No details were provided about the death, which police called a “tragic incident.”

In a statement, the resort confirmed the person who died was a guest at the resort.

“Cypress mountain extends our heartfelt condolences and support to the guest’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.”

It declined to share further details about the death citing privacy reasons.
