The first ascent of a new Joshua Tree highball by Kyle Spriggel was captured on film by Giant Rock and just released for free, watch below.

Joshua Tree is a world-renowned bouldering area with over 8,000 problems, ranging from beginner-friendly V0 routes to challenging V12s, spread across iconic areas like Hidden Valley, Wonderland of Rocks, and Indian Cove.
The coarse, grippy monzogranite provides excellent friction, ideal for smearing and edging, though it can be abrasive on skin. The season peaks from fall to spring due to cooler temperatures, as summer heat can be extreme.
