A pedestrian was struck by a car and killed early Thursday morning in Maple Ridge.
RCMP say shortly before 6 a.m., officers were called out to the 26000-block of Lougheed Highway for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Investigators say the man was hit by the car while trying to corral his dogs. Paramedics tried to save his life but he died.
The roads between 272nd Street and 240th Street are closed while RCMP investigate.
