It is with profound admiration and heavy hearts that we share our personal loss and the passing of Myrna Josephine Mortensen (Heyink) on Feb 11, 2026, after her valiant 5-year battle with cancer. Born on Feb 15, 1945, in Smithers, BC. Born to Dirk & Phyllis Heyink, Myrna always strived to make her community a better place to live for everyone.
Myrna was predeceased by her mom Phyllis, dad Dirk and brother Derek. She is survived by her loving husband Art; her children, David (Jackie), Cynthia & Catherine; 3 grandchildren; her brother John, and many loving family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
