Ukraine Counts on Beijing’s ‘Constructive Role’ as Sybiha Meets Chinese Ambassador

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with Chinese Ambassador Ma Shengkun in Kyiv on Wednesday, Oct. 21, to discuss steps Beijing could take toward peace and to revive bilateral dialogue ahead of the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Kremlin’s aide Yuri Ushakov claimed that China is already preparing a trilateral meeting with the US and Russia during next month's APEC summit in Shenzhen, while Moscow signalled openness to a US-Kyiv meeting mid-November as well.
