A Salmon Arm restaurant blacklisted a customer for causing a scene that required police attention.
At 9 p.m. on Sept. 16, Salmon Arm RCMP received a call from a 51-year-old diner who reported she’d been pushed out of a Lakeshore Drive dining establishment and wanted to press charges.
Around the same time, police received another report of a disturbance involving the 51-year-old woman.
Police responded and learned the woman was “upset about a steak that was not how she wanted it.”
“The woman became irate and began… swearing at an employee, which resulted in the woman being asked to leave the restaurant,” said Salmon Arm RCMP media relations officer Const. Andrew Hodges in a news release.
The woman reportedly continued yelling at staff, prompting another customer to step in and provide “some extra guidance by escorting her out by the arm.”
Hodges said the woman wasn’t injured, and “there was no intent to assault her.” Police advised the woman that charges “would not be happening,” and that she was no longer welcomed in the restaurant.
