US Destroys 3 Iranian Tankers After Warships Attacked in Gulf
US Central Command destroyed three Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) oil tankers – permanently disabling the M/T Downy and M/T Stark 1, and sinking the M/T Kylo in the Gulf of Oman – after Iranian forces launched ballistic missiles at a US aircraft carrier and a guided-missile destroyer. Both warships evaded the missiles without damage or casualties. In response, the IRGC claimed strikes on six vessels navigating the Strait of Hormuz, accusing them of using unauthorized routes.
