Jorge Díaz-Rullo has just finished up a three-week bouldering trip to Switzerland. While there, he racked up a huge list of hard sends, including Giuliano Cameroni’s mega classic Hazel Grace Sit V15/16, the second ascent of Stefano Ghisolfi’s new problem P.I.G. V15 and Shawn Raboutou’s Big Snapper V15. He also achieved his hardest flash ever with Dai Koyamada’s Paradise Lost V13/14.
Hazel Grace Sit was his most worked boulder yet. Due to tricky conditions, he said it was the boulder that has taken him the most attempts so far in his career. Before leaving Switzerland, he made a quick stop in Magic Wood. He sent his last boulder of the trip there with Chris Sharma’s Practice of the Wild V14. On Instagram, he said, “We had absolutely no luck with the conditions these days, so I decided to give it a try around midnight to see if I could find better temperatures. After a dab on the last move and several falls near the top from slipping off, when I had already given up on it, I finally managed to top it out.” He said on his 8a.nu page that he sent the boulder twice because of the aforementioned dab.
Díaz-Rullo is one of the world’s best sport climbers. Earlier this year, he established Cafe Colombia 5.15d, one of the hardest routes in the world. Calling it his megaproject is almost an understatement, as it took him an effort of 240 days to make the first ascent of the 30-metre power-endurance test piece. His resume also includes two 5.15c’s (Alex Megos’ Bibliographie, and an FA of Mejorando La Samfaina) and two 5.15b/c’s (including Adam Ondra’s Change and Move).
While Díaz-Rullo is most well known for his hard sport climbing, he has been sending hard boulder after hard boulder this year. So far in 2026, he has sent four V15s and four V14s. Three of those V15s were on this most recent trip to Switzerland. The first, Dave Graham’s Adularia, was sent on a separate Switzerland visit back in June.
