A Kelowna construction developer is expanding internationally, establishing a branch in the United States.
Troika, led by CEO Renee Merrifield, has launched a new branch in Boise, Idaho, dubbed Troika USA. Like its Canadian counterpart, the American venture will also be working in the construction field, offering “general contracting and construction management for commercial, multifamily and institutional projects” in the Treasure Valley region.
Troika USA is being headed by its president, Jerry Frank, who has been a developer in the region for nearly 30 years.
“Owners in this valley want a builder they know, who picks up the phone and finishes what they start,” Frank said in a press release on the matter. “That has always been how I work. Troika gives us the backing to do it at the size and the standard this region needs right now.”
The release said the company expects construction opportunities to be abundant in Boise following a $50 billion investment into the region from tech giant, Micron Technology. Troika said the investment is expected to bring 17,000 new jobs to the state.
“That growth brings demand for the housing, offices, health care and schools that come with it,” Troika said.
“We have spent almost three decades building in growing communities across Western Canada, and the Treasure Valley is exactly that kind of place,” said Renee Merrifield, CEO and founder of Troika. “We believe in doing the difficult things, the right way, for the communities we are part of. Jerry knows this valley and its people, and there is no one we would rather have leading Troika here.”
Troika USA it will start bidding on projects in the fall.
