Combat Continues as Russia Rejects Ceasefire
The Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed on Saturday, Sept. 5, that combat operations will continue after Russia rejected a proposed mutual ceasefire for Sept. 5-9. The General Staff stated a unilateral pause would endanger personnel, though strikes at operational depth have been temporarily restricted. The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed its refusal by conducting overnight combined strikes, including a ballistic missile attack on an industrial facility in Kamianske that killed four people, and drone strikes on a Mykolaiv shopping center.
