President Trump said he was informed that the “terrorists who attacked" his Turnberry golf resort in Scotland had been captured.
“I was just informed by Prime Minister Starmer of the United Kingdom, that they caught the terrorists who attacked the beautiful Turnberry, in Scotland,” Trump said a post late Sunday on Truth Social.
Trump said the three people who vandalized his property "are in prison" and did “serious damage.”
He also said he hopes they will be "treated harshly."
“You cannot let things like this attack happen, and I greatly appreciate the work of Prime Minister Starmer, and UK Law Enforcement,” he said.
Graffiti was spray painted on the Turnberry golf resort and the golf course was dug up. The words “Gaza is not 4 sale” were written when the activists damaged the property earlier this month.
A 33-year-old man was charged for the incident. A 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman were arrested but released pending further inquiries, the BBC reported, contrary to Trump’s statement.
The vandalism was reported after Trump expressed his desire to relocate Palestinians in Gaza and rebuild the territory into a resort.
Trump bought Turnberry in 2014.
