Second million-dollar ticket purchased in Agassiz in two months

What are the odds?

According to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, another million-dollar lotto ticket has been sold in Agassiz in just two months.

The Oct. 20 Lotto Max numbers were 8, 15, 19, 23, 26, 28, 34 with a bonus 38. It has not been specified where within Agassiz the latest winning ticket has been purchased.

In late September, Seble G. of Vancouver picked up a Lotto 6/49 ticket from the Canco on the corner of Highway 7 and Hot Springs Road in Agassiz.

“I was at a gas station picking up ice cream,” Seble said. “I had to check again to confirm the win, I didn’t believe it! I forgot why I was even in the store.”

She confirmed the win using a self-scanner and called her mom to share the news. She hopes to use the money to bring her closer to buying a home.

“It’s very unreal,” Seble said. “I feel blessed.”

There have been other winners over recent years in the Agassiz-Harrison area. Earlier in 2026, Michael W. won $500,000 from an Extra ticket on Lotto Max Draw; his ticket was purchased at the Esso Station on Yale Road in Rosedale. Last year, two friends from Mission and Harrison Mills – Richard Courteen-Nurse and David Fisher – shared a $1 million prize from the Lotto 6/49 draw.
