A Surrey father and son duo previously charged in an attempted murder plot now face additional firearms charges.
Scott William Telford and son Bryce Scott Telford, along with Candice Ashley Somerville, are charged with possession of a firearm without the required licence or registration.
The charge come after the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C. executed a search warrant on a Surrey property last September, according to Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha.
During the raid, police found 3D-printed firearm parts, rail kits, ammunition, firearm barrels, a GPS tracker, a loaded 3D-printed firearm along with methamphetamine, MDMA and cutting agent.
At the time of the search, a 3D printer was actively printing a firearm.
Multiple people were arrested at the time but were later released pending additional investigation.
The younger Telford and Somerville now also face charges of unauthorized manufacturing of a firearm, possession of computer data capable of being used to 3D print firearms, illegal possession of a firearm for purpose of transferring it, possession of MDMA for the purposes of trafficking and possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking.
The Bryce Scott Telford is also charged with possessing a firearm while prohibited from doing so.
The Telfords remain in custody, while an arrest warrant has been issued for Somerville.
The September 2025 search was conducted after police found information in a separate investigation linking the Telfords to an attempted murder plot in Kamloops.
In 2022, convicted Wolfpack gang killer Rabih Alkhalil broke out of a Port Coquitlam jail. Police later announced in 2025 that Ryan Van Gool of Harrison Hot Springs, along with two men from Ontario, had been charged in aiding the Alkhalil escape.
During the investigation into the escape, police also uncovered details of a 2024 murder plot targeting convicted drug trafficker Justin Hunt . That discovery resulted in charges of conspiracy to commit murder against Van Gool and two others, who turned out to be the Telfords.
