B.C.’s chief coroner has called an inquest into the Feb. 10 mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge.
Chief Coroner Dr. Jatinder Baidwan announced Tuesday (March 3) that he’s decided to call an inquest into the shootings that left nine people dead in the northeastern B.C. community. Eight people were killed, including five children, and the suspected shooter, 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar, died of a “self-inflicted injury.”
