A dangerous offender who was the subject of a Vancouver police public warning late last year is back in custody.
Tyler Gordon Strathdee, 37, who has a history of violent offences, was arrested Thursday in the Downtown Eastside, VPD Const. Darren Wong said Monday.
Strathdee was most recently the subject of a public warning by police in November 2025, when he began living at a Vancouver halfway house as a condition of his parole.
“Vancouver police believe Strathdee poses a significant risk of harm and is a high risk to commit further physical and sexual violence,” said Wong.
Officers from the newly formed District 5 unit in the crime-plagued neighbourhood nabbed Strathdee on a Canada-wide warrant for an alleged breach of his parole conditions.
No details of the nature of the breach were revealed.
