West Coast Express trains were temporarily halted or cancelled Tuesday morning after a train collided with a vehicle in Port Moody.
The crash occurred just before 7:30 a.m. at the train crossing at Reed Point Marina.
Port Moody Police said the driver of a vehicle failed to yield at the crossing and was hit by the train.
The pickup truck ended up on the other side of the crossing. The driver received serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being ejected from the truck and was taken to hospital.
The train was carrying commuters at the time and stopped on the tracks for about an hour while police and paramedics responded to the collision.
Two westbound trains were affected, including the 6:55 a.m. train that leaves from Mission City Station, and the 7:25 a.m. train.
