Venezuela mission proves the US needs Puerto Rico statehood

Puerto Rico has been a strategic asset for the U.S. for over a century, but its 3.2 million citizens are still denied full political rights and equality under federal laws, which is a contradiction of the U.S.'s foundational values of self-determination and government by consent of the governed.
