BURSTHouston RCMP are investigating a reported home invasion involving a firearm and subsequent arson that occurred early on New Year’s Day in Houston, B.C.
Shortly after midnight on Jan. 1, 2026, police received a report that three suspects had arrived at a residence in the 3700 block of Baggerman Crescent. The suspects allegedly pointed a firearm at the resident and threatened to set the home on fire.
“Police immediately responded and upon arrival met with the Houston Fire Department, who had extinguished a fire in a recreational vehicle,” according to the Houston RCMP.
A thorough investigation led to the arrest of three individuals. Two search warrants were later executed at a property in the 2000 block of Gushwa Crescent. Police seized several weapons, including a shortened rifle, along with a vehicle, drug paraphernalia, ammunition, and cash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
