BURSTNotice is hereby given, pursuant to Sec. 17 of the Woodlot Licence Planning and Practices Regulation, that a request to extend the Term of the approved Woodlot Licence Plan (WLP) for Woodlot Licence 0100 for a period of 10 years (2026-2036) has been recently prepared. Canyon Creek Resources Ltd is the licensee for Woodlot Licence 0100. The Crown land portion of the Woodlot is located east of Smithers in the vicinity of Babine Lake Road and Canyon Creek and the Private land portion is located in the vicinity of McDowell Lake.
The WLP document, governed by the Woodlot Licence Planning and Practices Regulation, provides strategies and performance requirements for managing the various resources and conserving and protecting non-timber resource values and features.
The Draft WLP will be available for public viewing from June 4th to July 10, 2026. To be considered for inclusion in the final WLP, written comments must be received by July 17, 2026.
