Traffic alert: Highway 1 closed near Bridal Falls due to jackknifed semi truck

Highway 1 has been closed westbound near Bridal Falls after a semi truck jack knifed on the highway on Aug. 29, 2025. This image from a Drive BC traffic camera shows westbound traffic on Highway 1 right before a detour toward Highway 9.

A jackknifed semi truck has shut down westbound lanes on Highway 1 near Bridal Falls on Friday morning.

According to Upper Fraser Valley RCMP, only minor injuries were reported in the accident and emergency crews remain on scene as of 10 a.m.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible and to expect delays. Westbound traffic is being directed to take the Highway 9 exit into Rosedale / Agassiz.

Eastbound lanes on Highway 1 are open but will see significant volume through the area.
