Police in Surrey are investigating after a fiery crash between two vehicles Friday, including a Lamborghini.

Shortly after 4 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of 96 Avenue and 161A Street for a report of a collision.

Firefighters and police attended and found one of the vehicles was on fire. Multiple media reports and photos online show it was a Lamborghini that was upside down and on fire. Postmedia has contacted the Surrey Police Service for more information.

Police say all occupants of both vehicles escaped unharmed.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. However, investigators believe that the speed of at least one of the vehicles may have been a contributing factor.

The intersection of 96 Avenue and 161A Street was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Anyone with information, including dashcam or CCTV footage, is asked to call the Surrey Police Service’s non-emergency number at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at www.solvecrime.ca or 1-800-222-8477.
