Eric Trump explains father's hot mic moment with Indonesia president

Eric Trump on Thursday sought to clarify what President Trump and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto talked about during a hot mic moment when the commander-in-chief's son came up during a conversation.

Subianto was heard speaking with his American counterpart in Egypt on Monday and asked if he could "meet Eric."

"I'll have Eric call," President Trump replied. "Should I do that? He's such a good boy."

During an appearance on "Bolling!" with Eric Bolling, on Real America's Voice, Eric Trump noted the Trump Organization has two projects in Indonesia, one located in the tourist mecca Bali and the other in Lido, near the capital Jakarta.

The younger Trump said he hasn't met with Subianto.

"I don’t get involved in politics in Indonesia — but when I heard that, I started laughing," Eric Trump said. '"Can I please meet Eric?' He must know the projects very well. And so, you know, we’re very proud of what we did in Indonesia. We’ve been there for, you know, well over a decade. And so, you know, I’m sure he hears about our great success."

The Trump Organization's website has plans promoting its planned resorts in Lido and Bali.

The golf course in Lido, designed by golfing legend Ernie Els officially opened in March. It's unclear when the resort in Lido will be opened, or when the Trump International Resort & Golf Club Bali will be completed.

The Trump Organization says the Bali property "will be a brand-new, world-class, six-star resort and destination beach club, also offering an exclusive collection of luxury villas, mansions and high-end resort condominiums."

The president's son appeared on Bolling's show to promote his new book, "Under Siege: My Family's Fight to Save Our Nation." Earlier this month, Eric Trump spoke with NewsNation's Chris Cuomo on "CUOMO" about the book and said it details the "slanderous lies" that the president has faced.

"They put our family, they put my father, they put me under siege," Eric Trump said. "They put this nation under siege with their garbage and their games, all so they could get a couple extra votes, and it’s wrong, and the nation needs to know that."

Eric Trump serves as the Trump Organization's executive vice president.

Subianto and President Trump met in Egypt during the American president's Middle East trip to oversee the peace deal between Israel and Hamas following two years of war in Gaza.
