Vanier Park’s three Vancouver museums will offer pay-what-you-can Sundays starting Feb. 1.

On Tuesday, the Vancouver Maritime Museum, Museum of Vancouver and H.R. MacMillan Space Centre revealed their plan to draw people to their venues by reducing any financial barrier to entry.

“This initiative makes it easier for everyone to explore the incredible cultural offerings of Vanier Park, from maritime history and local heritage to science and space exploration — all in one vibrant waterfront setting,” the three venues wrote.

“By removing financial barriers, the three museums aim to welcome more visitors to enjoy exhibitions, programs and experiences that celebrate learning, discovery and community.”

Two adults and two youth would have to pay $267 to visit all three venues during regular times.
