Israel has launched an attack on senior Hamas members meeting in Doha, reportedly including the group’s chief negotiator, making Qatar the latest Middle Eastern country to be targeted by Israeli strikes.
Israel’s Channel 12, citing an Israeli official, claimed Donald Trump had given the green light for the attack. This is particularly suprising as Qatar has acted as the main intermediary in the long and ongoing negotiations to reach a ceasefire in Gaza.
