Zelensky Signs Cinematography Reform Law Securing Stable Funding
President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a new law that reshapes how the state supports cinema in Ukraine by changing funding rules, adding new support tools for filmmakers and digitalizing contacts with the film regulator. The State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema said the law significantly changes the approach to financing the industry, forming a “special status” for the State Film Agency, which is meant to preserve its staff and institutional capacity.
