President Trump on Thursday morning will announce a "major" trade deal with the United Kingdom, the first agreement since he hit most trading partners with sweeping tariffs last month.

In an early morning post on Truth Social, Trump described the deal as “full and comprehensive,” and signaled it would be the first of many, as his administration grapples with an unstable economy amid the trade war.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer also teased the agreement in a speech early Thursday but added that "I will always act in our national interest."

Trump's remarks from the Oval Office are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
