BURSTBruce was born in Bellingham and relocated to the Bulkley Valley at age 9. He was raised in a community that valued hard work and dedication, Bruce spent his professional life as a logger and farmer. His strong hands and tireless spirit shaped the land he loved, and he took great pride in his work. A true embodiment of hard work, he was known for his expertise in logging sports, where his passion shone brightly.
Beyond his work, Bruce had a profound love for horses and all animals. He found joy in their company and often shared stories of his adventures with them, which brought smiles to the faces of those around him. His affinity for animals showcased his gentle heart and nurturing nature.
Bruce’s legacy is not only in the land he tended but in the lives he touched. He was a source of strength and wisdom to his family, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. His laughter and zest for life will be deeply missed, but his memories will forever warm the hearts of those who knew him.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Marie, his sister Marilyn, his cherished children, Dan( Nora), Julie, Doug(Ranjit) and his adoring grandchildren, Hillary, Ian,Ezekial, Wesley,Hanae,Nadine, Tara, and Blaire and Great-Grand Children Leo and McKinley. He leaves behind a family who will continue to honor his memory through their own acts of love and kindness.
A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at the Telkwa Hall on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1-4 pm.
