Expert Downplays US Envoys’ Diplomatic Mission

Daniel Hamilton, president of the Transatlantic Leadership Network, has expressed that the upcoming visit by US peace envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Kyiv and Moscow is unlikely to produce a diplomatic breakthrough. Hamilton noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin is increasing pressure on Ukraine and expanding sabotage operations across Europe. He dismissed US President Donald Trump’s proposal for European reimbursement of military aid and argued that Ukraine should continue targeting Russian infrastructure to increase domestic pressure on the Kremlin.
