Air Raid Alerts Stall Ukraine-Poland Border Crossings

Air-raid alerts are repeatedly interrupting border clearance between Ukraine and Poland, with freight drivers facing estimated waits of up to 40 hours at Dorohusk. Passenger-vehicle queues at Krakivets and Shehyni eased by the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 21 compared with the previous evening. Customs authorities said repeated security-related stoppages were slowing cross-border traffic.
