One man is dead after a targeted shooting late Friday night not far away from a busy mall in Surrey.
Surrey police say shortly before midnight, officers were called out to the 10400-block of 152 Street, which is close to Guildford Town Centre mall.
When they arrived they found a man with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics attended to treat the man, but he died.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in to take over the case. This is Surrey’s sixth homicide of 2025.
Police said the shooting does appear to be targeted but not related to the ongoing series of extortions in Surrey.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is on site and officers have set up a tent. There is a black SUV under a yellow tarp connected to the investigation.
