Highway 1 is partly closed Thursday morning due to a semi-truck that has overturned.
Police said the stretch of highway near Sumas Way in Abbotsford was reduced to one lane in both directions after a fully loaded grain truck flipped around 4:30 a.m.
“Fortunately, no injuries have been reported at this time,” said police in an update.
Drivers were told to expect delays during Thursday morning’s commute, while crews worked to remove the truck from the roadway and clean up the grain.
The westbound on-ramp at Sumas Way was also closed to keep the Highway 1 westbound slow lane open during Thursday’s commute. Those looking to access Highway 1 westbound should use the McCallum Road westbound on-ramp.
There is no known time for when the on-ramp and all lanes will re-open.
More to come.
