German authorities found a drone carrying a package with a detonator near a Ukrainian Antonov cargo plane at Leipzig/Halle Airport shortly before midnight on Tuesday, Aug. 5, Bild reported. Investigators classified the device as a potential explosive. The airport was shut down for nearly two hours while bomb disposal teams responded. A cargo plane that had to abort landing later collided with an unknown object about 6 km from the airport. Police have not ruled out sabotage.
