
One person has been airlifted to hospital after a shooting in Langley.
Langley RCMP said Mounties were called to the area of 196 Street and 28 Avenue just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday for a reported shooting.
When officers, paramedics and first responders arrived, they found one person in medical distress.
The person was taken to hospital with serious injuries, said Const. Meghan Marsden of Langley RCMP in a statement.
Police are not releasing further details about the shooting, including information about the victim, a possible motive or whether officers are searching for any suspects.
“This investigation is in its infancy, and additional details will be made available at a later time,” said Marsden.
