A driver is facing an impaired driving charge after a semi-truck veered into the centre median on Highway 1 in Abbotsford and rolled over.
Shortly after 8 p.m. on Monday, officers from the Abbotsford Police Department were called to the single-vehicle crash near the Whatcom Road exit.
The truck and trailer were found overturned in the eastbound lanes. It appears the truck was headed west when it left the highway and crossed into eastbound traffic before rolling.
The driver, a 66-year-old man, was held at the scene for impaired driving, then taken to hospital with minor injuries. He was released pending further investigation, including lab results.
