Langley equestrian charged with sexual exploitation

A Langley man who was a longtime member of the Fraser Valley equestrian community has been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation.

In late 2023, police began investigating reports of sexual offences in Langley and Delta that were alleged to have occurred between 2000 and 2023.

Isauro Antonino Flores of Langley has now been charged with sexual exploitation against two victims.

“Investigators believe there may be additional individuals within the equestrian community who have information but have not yet come forward,” said Langley RCMP Sgt. Zynal Sharoom in a statement released Thursday.

“Anyone who has information, regardless of how old it may be, is strongly encouraged to contact the Langley RCMP.

“We understand that coming forward can be difficult, but it is important, and we encourage you to speak with investigators. Support services are available for anyone affected.”

Flores is a former member of Equestrian Canada and co-owner of Shadowridge Stables in Langley.

In October 2024, Equestrian Canada barred Flores from all its programs and competitions for at least 10 years after a hearing on alleged ethical breaches. The panel found that Flores breached several provisions in the national governing body’s code of conduct and ethics and that he “engaged in grooming and sexual maltreatment.”

Anyone with information is urged to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
